Queues - How to add an announcement message

An announcement message is a pre-recorded automated personal message that can read to callers waiting in a queue. This message can be promotional, informational, or whatever you desire read to the callers.

The first part of this section requires a message to be recorded and uploaded to the system, please click here to complete this step

Once the recording is setup, you will need your own queue to be built, you can do this by clicking here and following this guide

Once the call queue and message have been created, please go to Configuration > Call Queues

Then open the queue you wish to have the announcement attached to and scroll down to the section with the heading Periodic Announce

Change the first Announce Frequency box to the number of seconds between each reading of the announcement message. The second box is when the timer begins, we would recommend changing this to “From the end of the announcement”.

Click the box marked Periodic Announce and choose the media file you created you wish to be announced. Please note it will be marked Playback, followed by the file name

Scroll to the bottom of the page and press Save
