There are a number of essential app permissions which need to be enabled on Android devices in order for the Sipalto App to work correctly.
As the setting location differs between each phone manufacturer, we have split the app permission into sections in order to help you locate and set each permission accordingly, but please note, the actual setting location may differ slightly between different phones.
Please ensure the following App Permissions are set:
Camera: Optional - This option is in place for a future app release where video calls will be enabled
Microphone: Enabled - This option is essential in order for your app mic to work
Notifications: Enabled - This option is essential in order to receive incoming calls, ensure you also enable all sub-options within the Notifications section
Phone: Enabled - This option is essential in order to make and receive phone calls via the app
Contacts: Optional - This optional setting adds your phone's personal contacts within the app, this option can also be enabled or disabled from within the Sipalto App
Pause app activity if unused: Disabled - This option is essential to ensure Android does not disabled permissions if the app has not been used for a few months
Other Permissions - Some Andorid devices have a section called 'other permissions' or something similar where additional permissions need to be set:
Home screen shortcuts: Enabled
Show on Lock screen: Enabled - This option is essential in order to display incoming calls when your phone is locked
Open new windows while running in background: Optional - This setting is not required
Display pop-up windows: Enabled
Battery Saver: No Restrictions - This setting will ensure the app is not restricted should your phone switch to battery saving mode.
Notifications - Ensure all notifications are enabled on your device to ensure incoming calls appear correctly at all times.
