Provisioning - Creating a phone provisioning file

In this article we explain how to create a provisioning file via the SiP Cloud dashboard, which can then be entered into a VoIP phone, this will allow the phone to automatically download all settings ready for use.

You can find this section by following the below:

Configuration > Provisioning > Phones

Click on New Phone (at the top right) to create a provisioning entry.

Then enter the following information:

Name: Enter the Extension Number you wish to provision
Model: Choose the appropriate phone model from the drop down menu, in this example we have chosen Grandstream
MAC Address: Enter the MAC address of the phone
Secret: Generate a provisioning password using the Generate button on the right
Line 1: Select the appropriate extension from the drop down menu

If you wish to also sync the phone to one (or many) account phone directories you can select as many as required from the Phone Books drop down menu, this can also be done at a later time.




When done, press Save

You will now be taken to the provisioning overvue page where the new provisioning entry will be listed, copy the Autoprovisioning URL into the phone you wish to provision.
