Enabling Click-to-Call - Windows

The Sipalto app supports click-to-call, which allows you to dial any supported phone number in your web browser, CRM or spreadsheet by simply clicking on the number.

To enable this feature, you will need to set the Sipalto App as the default app for a number of Windows protocols (listed below):

callto
sip
tel

The below guide applies to Windows 11, please ensure you have already downloaded the Sipalto App prior to following the rest of the guide, download link can be found here.

To begin, click on the Windows 11 start menu and enter Default Apps in the seach box, then press enter.




This will open the Default apps menu.

Start by entering the first protocol into the input box then click on it when it appears: callto

You will be presented with one or many VoIP/communication apps to choose from, from the list of options click once on the Sipalto App, then click Set default.



Repeat the same process for the other two protocols; sip and tel. Once you have done all three, you have now set the three possible click-to-call options on any website, CRM or spreadsheet.

Now click on any phone number to test (such as business phone number from a Google Search), the first time you do it you may be asked if you wish to always use Sipalto App as the default option, click YES so that message does not appear again.
